Common questions.
Questions we’re asked most often by Indonesian and regional clients engaging us for the first time.
How do payments work for cross-border engagements?
All fees are invoiced in USD and paid by secure card payment link against an agreed Statement of Work or Express Advisory scope. We use a card-based payment gateway rather than wire transfer so Indonesian clients can settle from corporate cards without the cost and delay of cross-border remittance. Clients can request a PDF tax invoice on LUCIDi4 Limited letterhead for their records.
Do you work in Bahasa Indonesia?
Working sessions are typically conducted in English, which is the working language of most mid-market Indonesian manufacturing management we engage with. Written deliverables (memos, reports, technical dossiers) are produced in English by default, with Bahasa Indonesia translation available as an add-on where the deliverable needs to be circulated to shop-floor or non-English-speaking stakeholders.
Can you visit our site in Indonesia?
Yes. Site visits are standard for scoped engagements in our manufacturing process and quality practice areas. For Express Advisory work (clinic calls, focused sessions, half-day diagnostics), engagements are usually delivered remotely via video, but on-site alternatives can be arranged at cost. Travel and accommodation are passed through at cost against receipt; we do not mark up expenses.
How does BPOM coordination work?
We do not submit BPOM notifications on a client's behalf — only the registrant or their authorised local representative can do that under Indonesian regulations. What we do is prepare the technical file, product specifications, stability and safety data, and ingredient documentation to the standard BPOM expects, coordinate with accredited testing laboratories, and brief your internal or nominated consultant on the submission process. We have done this across cosmetics, food, beverage, and supplement categories.
Do you work with halal certification?
Yes. We help clients prepare for halal certification via LPPOM-MUI (for domestic Indonesian certification) or via BPJPH and its accredited certification bodies under the 2019 halal regulation framework. Typical involvement is ingredient traceability documentation, production-line segregation design, SOP authoring for halal process compliance, and pre-audit review. We do not issue certification ourselves.
What are your payment terms?
Express Advisory services are paid in full before delivery begins. Scoped engagements are invoiced against named milestones in the Statement of Work, with the first milestone payable before engagement commencement. Travel and testing-laboratory costs are invoiced separately at cost with receipts.
How do you handle confidentiality with competitor clients?
Every engagement is governed by a written confidentiality clause in the Statement of Work, with a five-year survival period. When we take on a new brief, we check it against our active and recent client list and decline if there is a direct competitive conflict. In sectors where we have multiple clients (for example Indonesian cosmetics contract manufacturers), engagement leads are rotated to avoid any one consultant holding simultaneous competitor information.
Can you work with a local consultant or in-house team we already have?
Yes, and often this is the right shape. Express Advisory is designed to fit alongside whoever is already working on the problem — a second opinion, a specific-question deep dive, a documentation review. For scoped engagements we will, where relevant, structure the work so a named in-house counterpart takes over implementation after our handover.
What doesn't LUCIDi4 do?
We do not issue certifications — we prepare clients for audits conducted by accredited certification bodies. We do not provide legal advice — we prepare documentation and technical submissions but legal sign-off sits with the client's counsel. We do not operate as a contract manufacturer or a laboratory — we coordinate with accredited third parties where testing or production work is needed. We do not take success-fee or equity arrangements.
How do I start?
Send a brief via the contact form or email enquiries@lucidi4.co describing the operation, the question, and what a successful outcome looks like. We come back within two working days to either propose a scope (scoped engagement) or confirm the session tier and fee (Express Advisory). Once scope and fee are agreed in writing, we send a secure card payment link.
